ROCK-i the vote!!!

Let’s face it Stratfordites… we live in CT… so we all know that our electoral college votes are going to Obama!

Ergo… I propose that we utilize this election to send a message to our 2009 Mayoral/Council candidates!!!

It’s time we stand-up to partisan politics as usual in this town and Rock-i the vote!!! 

That’s right folks… it is at this time that I ask all of you to join with me in making history!!!  Screw that whole ”first African-American candidate for president” cr*p… I propose that we be the first town to ever cast mass votes for a candidate who isn’t a total Manchurian-type (and one who s gorgeous if I do say so myself).

On November 4th, when you enter your voting area, instead of choosing between two candidates who “THEY” want you to vote forward… focus your eyes on that “write in” line on the bottom… and you join me in sending a message by writing in my name…

…”ROCKI“!!!  (remember… I’m a girl… so it’s Rocki with an “i” at the end)

It’s time we tell our candidates that we not only deserve more than Partisan Politics (anyone else notice that EVERY Republican voted against Miron once again on the Shakespeare Theatre vote?)… but we WANT better… and WE WILL GET BETTER!!!  And it all starts with you and I (ok… not such much on the I part) on November 4th!!!

Ok folks I’m back and ready to rumble!!

Enough of the @#$%^*! politics in this town… it’s time for a candidate for change!!!

If 2008 can be the year when the first black man run for president… 2009 can be the year when the first feline runs for mayor!

That’s right Miron, Best, Donut-by, etc… I’m back and ready to kick some butt!  You WILL be called out on issues… you WILL be public mocked for blatant politicing… and you WILL be harassed for stupd decisions!

You had better bring your A-game gents because there’s a new chick in town and she’s aiming for YOU!!!

Campaign on hold

Greetings one and all!

At this time I wish to inform everyone that my campaign is temporarily on hold.  While I thank all of my loyal minions supporters for their encouragement, I feel that at this time this decision would be the most wise for me.

Why?

Because those idiots on the CRC are actually discussing the creation of an “assistant mayor” positiion!!  LOL!!!  And since I can think of no one better to sit around all day and sleep/stare out the window/do a little catnip… it is my hope that this position actually IS created… that way instead of Rocki4Mayor it will be Rocki4AssMayor!!! 

Umm… wait a minute… first campaign task… get a new name for the campaign!!!

Let’s get to the issues

Hello again all!!!

OK… time to discuss the issues… when I am elected Mayor, I promise the following:

1) Sell Long Beach West – with the criteria that (a) the boardwalk will  be built within 2 years (or else ownership will revert back to the town… at no cost), (b) Stratford citizens will ALWAYS have the rite to access the land (no matter what animals happen to move in), and (c) all monies from the sale will go immediately to pay down the town’s debt

2) Shakespeare Theatre WILL open… no if’s, and’s or but’s about it

3) The train station will finally get finished

4) Hire more cops/fireman… what’s up with all the OT these guys are working?  More people, less OT… end of story.

and

5) The price of a dog license will immediately increase to $5,000 a year

So… what do you think Stratford… I’d love to hear your opinions…

Hello world!

First of all, thank you for visiting my blog!

After much deliberation I have decided that I cannot possibly do worse for the Town of Stratford than an of the other options out there.  As such, I am throwing my perverbial “hat” into the ring for the 2009 election! 

Unfortunately I am a bit shy, so you won’t be much of me on the campaign trail… but I wouldn’t mind settling in for a long nap in the palatial Mayor’s Office in Town Hall.

Oh well, that’s it for now… feel free to drop a line and ask any questions you might have!
